It’s time to celebrate another boss of the month! Bowo Creative would like to feature Liz Salzman as our boss of April!

Liz is a Toronto based photographer and owner of Amica Studio. She has a goal of helping her clients bring their magnetic personal brand vision to life through photography!

With 10 years of photography experience, her favorite thing about it is meeting incredible and inspiring women, and helping them on their entrepreneurship journeys.

We decided to sit down and ask our boss of April, Liz Salzman some questions to get the inside scoop on her success as an entrepreneur!

Can you tell us about your career journey?

My career journey is quite the rollercoaster! I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 13. My work experience includes being a princess for birthday parties (and then owning the business), a makeup artist, a music teacher for a music school and elementary school, a radio host, a marketing manager, a talent manager in the music industry and then influencer industry, a social media manager, blogger, and probably more lol! I did not shy away from doing what my heart desired. However, through all of that, photography has been my one constant.

I started photographing weddings at age 17 and did this almost every weekend for 5 years! By experiencing many different types of jobs and fields, I was able to learn and understand what I love to do. All of this also led me to open my own photo studio and start my photography business.

If you have any advice to offer your younger self what would it be?

I would tell my younger self to never give up. That there will be hard Advice to my younger self would be to not worry about what anyone else thinks of you. Their opinions of you don’t matter. What matters is YOU.

“As women, we are so powerful and beautiful and I want each and every woman to realize that”

LiZ SALZMAN

What keeps you motivated?

What keeps me motivated, is helping other women like me achieve their dreams. As women, we are so powerful and beautiful and I want each and every woman to realize that.

What does your daily routine look like?

My daily routine is honestly so different every day! As a photographer and studio owner, I’m often running around to different locations at different times. As often as possible, I like to start my day around 8am with a workout, coffee and breakfast (oatmeal is my fave right now), and end it by cooking a new recipe and reading a good book!
