This is the perfect time to offer small discounts to your clients. It doesn’t have to be anything major like during the holiday season; the purpose of this time is to generate buzz so that clients choose to return during the holidays to spend more. A simple example is offering a small discount, like $5 off your manicure. Or if you are an esthetician, perhaps you can offer a free sample moisturizer with every facial.
It’s a known fact that repeat customers usually spend more than new customers. Offer an incentive for old clients to revisit you. September & October could be slow for many beauty businesses. This is a great time to host customers appreciation events to show your loyal customers how much you value them. If you have an email list, you can send past clients and offer to come in, or even suggest they bring a friend to get a percentage discount.
In the fall season, there are tons of events- maybe they aren’t as big as Christmas, or New Year- but this is the perfect opportunity to bring attention to your business just before ramping up to the holidays. Back-to-school, Halloween, and Thanksgiving are all major events in fall that are the perfect excuse to run a promotion. This will also help build up exposure and traffic for your salon & beauty business to get ready for the busy holiday season coming up.
If it’s in your budget, creating a fall-based photoshoot to promote your business can be a really fun and attractive way of showing off your seasonal spirit! Consider bright fall colours like orange, yellow, and red to really create an autumn feel. Plus, you can reuse the content every year!
