You probably heard about the idea of quality over quantity before when it comes to creating engaging Instagram captions. But how exactly can you do that?

In our blog article today, we would like to share with you our 4 STEPS to engaging Instagram captions, the ones that make people want to hit “FOLLOW”, “LIKE” or even “DM” to inquire more about your products & services.

Step 1: Start with a one-liner

Having a catchy hook is the first step to create a highly engaging Instagram caption. Give your audience a reason to keep reading and engage with your content.

Some examples of content hook are:

“Don’t do ______until you read ________.”

“Stop scrolling if you are ______ looking for______”

“Stop scrolling and read this________”

Your hook in your Instagram caption is so important as it sets the tone for the rest of the content and helps catch your audience’s attention immediately.

Step 2: Guide your audience to the main message by addressing their pain points, concerns or something that they need to know more about:

Leading up to your main topic by asking your audience some relevant questions about the main topic or addressing a pain point, a concern that you are offering the solutions for is a great way to relate and create opportunities for engagement.

Some examples:

“Have you ever felt__________?”

“Are you making these mistakes that _____________?

“I don’t know about you but __________?”

“Did you know that 80% of______ is doing _______?

Step 3: Make your caption digestible. Longet caption doesn’t always mean better content. 

Separate your caption into smaller paragraphs or using emojis to break up your content so it is easy to follow and easy to digest. Get to the point!

People don’t want to read through your whole life story. They want to know exactly the points that add value to their life & their business.

Step 4: Call to action to ask people to engage with your content

CTA or Call-To-Action is an essential key to an engaging Instagram caption. Don’t forget to ask your audience to take some sort of actions.

Some examples of CTA are:

“Drop a ❤️ if you agree.”

“Are you ready to ________?”

“Save & Share this post for later”

“Share this with a friend who might need to hear this today.”
